Mr Felix Sim is a specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon managing problems involving the face, neck and jaws. These include removal of third molars (wisdom teeth), complex extractions, orthodontic exposure of teeth, placement of dental and zygomatic implants, grafting procedures, orthognathic surgery and management of oral pathology and facial trauma. Dr Sim also sub-specialises in oral cancer and reconstructive surgery of the jaws using microvascular free tissue transfer.

Dr Sim obtained his undergraduate dental qualification at the University of Sydney and medical degree at the University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training in 2015, leading to the specialist qualification FRACDS (OMS).

Following completion of his specialty training, Dr Sim was selected to a two-year highly competitive sub-specialty training in head & neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Head and Neck Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA. He is the only fellowship trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Melbourne performing microvascular reconstruction of the jaws.

Felix has public hospital appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Hospital and Geelong Hospital as part of the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Units. Private hospital appointments include Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Epworth Hospital, St John of God Hospital Geelong.
