Associate Professor Shiran Wijeratne is a General Surgeon providing surgical expertise for conditions affecting the thyroid, gallbladder and skin. He repairs hernias and performs laparoscopic surgery. He is also an accredited Endoscopist and Colonoscopist.
Shiran obtained his Medical degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1997. He finished his advanced training in General Surgery in 2005 in Sri Lanka and obtained a Master’s in Surgery and life membership of the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka.
He also obtained Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011, Fellowship of International College of Surgeons (FICS) in 2010, and Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) in 2008.
