Dr Robert Chen is one of the two directors of Waverley Endoscopy. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne then underwent Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialist training in St. Vincent’s Hospital. He also completed a post-graduate doctorate with special interest in hepatitis and an advanced endoscopy training including ERCP/EUS in USA. He was one of the first doctors to perform endoscopic ultrasound in Australia and has 20 peer reviewed journal articles.
Dr Chen has been practising Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Melbourne for more than two decades. He is able to speak Mandarin and Cantonese fluently.
Dr Chen provides a vast range of services including routine and advanced gastroscopy and colonoscopy, pill cam, EUS, ERCP and is able to provide consultation on a variety of pathology including hepatology, IBS and IBD.
