Dr Kumanan Nalankilli is a Melbourne-based Consultant Gastroenterologist and Advanced Interventional Endoscopist. After qualifying in Medicine from the University of Otago, New Zealand, he completed basic and advanced physician training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at major public hospitals in Melbourne, including Western Health and the Alfred Hospital.

Kumanan further completed three years of post-fellowship training in advanced endoscopic procedures, gaining expertise in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound), EMR (Endoscopic Mucosal Resection) and balloon-assisted enteroscopy.

He serves as the Deputy Head of Endoscopic Services at Western Health and is a consultant at Northern Health. He has academic interests in quality in endoscopy and interventional endoscopy, and holds a Master’s research degree in this field.

Kumanan is committed to working collaboratively with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide evidence-based care and achieve the best outcomes.
